Downloading Font Netscape 3.0 users. Select Options, select General Preferences, then Fonts. Next, select the "For the Encoding" as "User Define". Select Proportional Font and set it to the desired font (ODAVI). This is a one time job. Save these settings and come back to the main Browser screen. You will see the changed font being displayed. Whenever you want to change the font scheme, just select Options, and then Document Encoding, where you can select "user define". That's all! So go ahead and enjoy. Other Browsers. Almost all Web Browsers have a setting for changing the proportional fonts, temporarily. Generally this is in the OPTIONS menu. You will have to change the font type in this setting to the appropriate font. In case of Marathi and Hindi, it is "ODAVI". You need to set the size suitable to your eyes. If your Browser supports changing Document Encoding - and generally most of them do - you can use this feature and select either USER DEFINED or some other encoding which you may not use generally. For example, you can select CHINESE or KORIAN. (NetScape 3.0 has this feature.) You can then change the font setting to "ODAVI" or the appropriate font for the language you select, for this encoding. Thus you need not change the PROPORTIONAL FONT setting as often as you want to see Indian Languages. Every other time you want to see Indian Language pages, you can change the document encoding to the appropriate one. |
